Waste Declaration

All vessels need to submit a declaration of waste to the Port of Mariehamn, specifying waste disposed of in the Port of Mariehamn and waste left on board. The declaration will be forwarded to the local authority for environment and safety (ÅMHM)..

Download and fill out the digital PDF “Notification waste delivery” and email it to the Harbor Master.

If food waste will be disposed of in the Port of Mariehamn, the form regarding the origin of food waste is mandatory to fill out 24 h prior to arrival and return to the Harbor Master.

All ships ( 300 GT or more) are required to submit a waste delivery receipt via Portnet. The receipt will be issued by the port, but the vessel’s captain or agent is responsible for submitting it to the authorities. If waste reception facilities in the Port are found to be inadequate the form for complaints can be filled out and given to the Harbor Master.
